Services, Pricing and Policies

Below you will find our professional pet sitting services, pricing and policies. We provide care for most domestic pets including dogs, cats, fish, reptiles and birds. All vacation services require at least one visit per day for cats and two visits per day for dogs unless other arrangements are made. Please confirm your reservation with our office before leaving town. It is important that you take a headcount and make sure pets are all inside your house before you leave. PW+ is not responsible for pets left unattended outside.

Our services may cost a little more but we go that extra mile. We stay a little longer, keep accurate daily notes on what we do and most of all give your pets love and attention so they will be calm and content while you are away. As a husband and wife team, we frequently show up together to socialize and exercise your pets and ensure that your home is kept secure.

Meet and Greet:
This pre-service meeting is free. We meet and interact with your pets to decide if we are right for you. We discuss the detailed services you need and fill out the necessary service contract should you decide to use PW+. At this meeting please provide 1 set of tested house keys which are confidentially coded and kept in a safe. Keys can be kept on file or returned to you after the last visit. We are insured and bonded for your peace of mind. Our PW+ press kit will be provided at this visit.

Dog/Cat/Bird Visits:
Visits include feeding, playing, dog walk, bringing in mail/newspaper, daily litter and poop clean up, taking garbage to curb, oral medications and watering house plants if needed. Puppy care includes reinforcing the basic commands that you use and cleaning up any messes.
$19 first daily visit for 1-2 dogs (40-45 min)
- Extended visit (1 hr) $22. Additional dog $2 each
$17 daily visit for 1-3 cats (35-40 min) - Extended visit (1 hr) $22 Additional cat $2 each
$15 any additional visit per day* for all dogs and cats (30-35 minutes)
Price may vary slightly if you have multiple animals, special needs or additional pets such as a rabbit, guinea pig, ferret, snake, fish or amphibian. Please feel free to ask.

Overnight Pet and House Sitting:
Overnight sitting (7pm to 8am) includes feeding, playing, dog walk, bringing in mail/newspaper, daily litter and poop clean up, garbage can to curb, oral medications, watering house plants and spending the night in your home.
$60 per night for 1-2* dogs (includes one walk)
$40 per night for cat-only (1-3* cats)
$15 per additional midday walk/visit
*$2 or $3 each additional animal, fish tank or bird(s). Please ask regarding these and more complex needs.

Dog Walking:
$17 per walk - one dog (30-40 minute park or neighborhood walk) Longer walks can be quoted.
$22 per walk - two dogs together (30-40 minute park or neighborhood walk)
Dogs are pack animals and thrive on connection with other dogs. We charge a slightly higher fee for dogs who must be walked individually. We require a minimum of two days a week for this service.

Pet Taxi, Shopping, Vet or Spa Shuttle:
General transportation and tasks can be arranged if you need your dog taken to the vet, groomer, trainer or out for shopping for pet supplies. We will wait at the vet and can arrange for pickup before and after surgery.
$18 per hour from time we leave your home plus $.50 mile
Shopping costs are due COD. Vet or groomer costs are as arranged by client.

Cancellation Policy

Daily and Vacation Visits:
Our cancellation policy for daily pet sitting and vacation visits take into consideration emergency or last minute problems. Less than 2 days notice incurs a 25% cancellation fee. Cancellations made during the reservation or early and the client will pay 100% of the entire fee except for emergency.

Overnight Visits:
Please call us 3 days before your departure if you need to cancel. Overnight reservations require that we set aside a block of time especially for your pets and turn down other business. Cancellations made less than 3 days before your departure date are subject to a 25% cancellation fee. Cancellations made during the reservation or early cancellation the client will pay 100% of the entire fee except for emergency.

Dog Walking:
Dog walking cancellations require a one day notice for each canceled visit except for emergency. If client is home and/or neglects or forgets to cancel a visit, full price of the service will be charged.

Changing Reservations:
If you are out of town and need to let us know of changes to your schedule, call our office as soon as possible. Please leave as much information as possible; name, vacation phone number and changes needed.

Returned Check Fee:
$35 plus all bank fees incurred.

Key Safe Program
Return clients can keep their house key on file in our Key Safe. No ID is attached to the key but rather a lanyard or wrist band color coded to your name and contact info. Do not leave keys hidden outside as the security of your home and pets are very important to PW+. Key pickup and return is $10 per trip unless alternate no charge arrangements are made.

Contact Information:
Please have contact information on to your pet's collar at all times especially in your absence. Use a safety collar and NEVER use a choke collar.

Detailed Visit Notes:
PW+ will leave a detailed note/log with each visit along with the time of the visit. We can also arrange to call you at the times you specify.

Emergency, Last Minute and Out-of-Service Area Visits or Trips:
In an emergency please call and we will make every attempt to help you. A fee of $16.00 (or more) per trip will be charged if we need to make trips for food and supplies, to the veterinarian for pet care or medications. We encourage you to have ample supplies on hand for your pets especially during bad winter months.
